Dear mountain child. Weep no more, for I hear your pain.
See the stars? They were not there before. I made them for you, to brighten your way.
There you stand tall, embracing sunlight, before the horizon unleashes cold night.
As warmth fades and you feel alone, sadness creeps upon this being of stone.
But weep no more, my dear mountain child.
Now the stars shall keep you company, until morning light.

There was one image that - immediately at first sight - inspired me to write this; the very same you see below.
This image seems to be found in a Czech book of poems called Vyšehrad, written by Julius Zeyer. Zeyer made the book, but not the illustrations - I cannot find who the artist of the images is, but the pictures have that wonderful, magical, fairy-tale vibe! It was written in the 19th century and deals with Czech history and folklore, to my understanding.
Only thanks to josefskrhola on Flickr did I figure this much out, and can at least show you the image (click image for link):
